If you want to use a weapon, someone has to make it first.

Level 1[edit]

Get a proficiency in a tool you didn’t have before.

Level 2[edit]

You can now craft basic gear. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 3[edit]

You can now make tools. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 4[edit]

Firearm Forte Starting at 4th level, you can forge modern-style firearms and their ammunition. The DM must determine whether an item is craftable, what materials are required and how long it will take to make. A crafter also requires their Tinker's Tools to craft such items.

Level 5[edit]

You can make simple melee and ranged weapons. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 6[edit]

You can now make poisons and drugs. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 7[edit]

You have enough knowledge of making objects you can delicately take them apart for pieces. This will add whatever parts your DM sees fit into your inventory.

Level 8[edit]

You can now make Renaissance equipment. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 9[edit]

You can now make light armor and shields. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 10[edit]

You can make a forgery of any existing object you’ve seen. It will require an investigation throw to tell if it’s fake.

Level 12[edit]

You can now make martial weapons. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 13[edit]

You can now make heavy armor. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 14[edit]

You can now take apart mechanoids and other constructs for parts.

Level 15[edit]

You can now make sentient objects. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 16[edit]

You can now get a proficiency in a tool or increase int by 2.

Level 17[edit]

You can now repair broken machinery in the world, as well as advantage whenever doing an insight check.

Level 18[edit]

You can now build mechanoids and other constructs. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 19[edit]

You can now craft futuristic equipment. The DM makes the final say on how it’s made, it’s craftability, and how long it takes.

Level 20[edit]

You can now craft magical items. You must talk with your DM extensively when using this ability, as they must determine what can be made, how it’s made, and how long it will take. Tinker’s tools is required to make one.
