Physical Description[edit]
A juveline Coyouin Fourfooter. |
Coyouin Fourfooters are slim and powerful feral shark-dog hybrids, walking on fours when on land and propelling themselves with their shark-like tail in the water. They have fearsome jaws capable of biting through the toughest of natural armor, but only stand at about 3 foot tall on all fours.
History[edit]
Coyouin Fourfooters are, as their name implies, oft seen alongside the more humanoid Coyouin, and are their variant of "domesticated sharks". The first few called into being were magical in nature; prototypes at first, but serving their owners like well-trained dogs and having the ability to follow their masters onto land proved them invaluable as traveling companions.
Society[edit]
These creatures live by their masters' sides, proudly standing guard, joining them in hunts, or otherwise lending them their sharp senses. Breeders and trainers for these creatures exist within Coyouin society, and will only sell a Fourfooter to someone they believe to be a good master for the little critter.
Very few have managed to escape, and slightly more were separated from their masters through an outside force, but these often did not manage to survive long in the wild. The ones that did became more feral, worrying less about their masters and more about themselves; they hunt, keep territory, and even mate with their kin on their own merit. They live in packs as wolves would, but rarely leave the water unless it is to pursue prey.

Fourfooter names are picked by their masters.
