Athelaran[edit]

Athelaran is the main continent of the world, covered in the vast majority of the kingdoms that exist among the humans, it is war torn and dark- riddled with monsters that are attracted to the dark energy created by the constant state of chaos.

Athelaran is split into three main provinces, being Western Athelaran, The Divide, and Eastern Athelaran. Western Athelaran fights a war on two fronts, with the Seafarers coming from the ocean to the west, and the kingdom of Athelar from the East, who cross the divide and maintain a rigorous supply chain to keep troops supplied and fed on the Western Front.

The Divide is a massive desert, which quite literally divides the two countries, keeping the overwhelming numbers of Athelar quelled. Most do not make it through the journey through the desert, and their corpses are generally disposed of by burning, so as to avoid plague.

Eastern Athelaran is a united front, with the intent to invade the war torn, Western counterpart. They have the resources to do so, and the will, with which they intend to crush the Western War and unite all humans under one flag.

Western Athelaran[edit]

Western Athelaran is the home to several small provinces, which are mostly at war with each other. There are some small alliances, who unite against the Tyrant lord of Winters Fist, Jon Selon.

Landmarks[edit]

Winters Fist: A fortress inside of the main mountain of the Horncot Mountain range. It is heated and insulated by natural hotsprings that had formed in the walls over time, allowing people to man it with little to no maintenance. Eventually, the house Selmy found it, and ended up staying for good, becoming a major power of Western Athelar.

Howling Woodway: A stone fortress which blocks the narrow canyon into the Martelen Forest- also nicknamed, The Howling Wood, for the terrible cries of agony that emanate from it in the dark hours.

Icon of Avarice: A statue in the Sprawling Plains, north of the Horncot Mountains, which causes immense greed in any who pray to it, offering power- for a price.

The Divide[edit]

The massive, sprawling desert which separates Western Athelaran and Eastern Athelaran, it is a harsh, unforgiving place. Largely unexplored, and most would like to leave it that way.
