Commoner Swarm[edit]
Gargantuan swarm of Medium humanoids (any race), any alignment
Armor Class 10
Hit Points 172 (15d20 + 15)
Speed 25 ft.
Saving Throws Str +4, Wis +2 Skills Intimidation +2 Damage Resistances thunder
Senses passive Perception 10
Languages any one language (usually Common)
Multiattack A commoner swarm may make 4 attacks per round. These attacks may be any combination of either Torches or Pitchforks.
- Once the swarm loses half of its hit points it may only make 3 attacks per round.
Trample The commoner swarm does 2d6 damage per turn to any medium or small creature it engulfs, on the turn that the swarm engulfs it.
ACTIONS
Torches. When using this feature the swarm has darkvision 30' and can cause 2d6 fire damage to up to an opponent within 5 feet as part of its multiattack.
It takes one round to activate this feature.
Pitchforks. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 10 ft., reach, one target per multiattack. Hit: 7 (2d6) piercing damage.
Disperse. The swarm will disperse or flee if any of the following conditions are met:
- Once its hit points drop below 1/4 of its total hit points.
- If it chooses to flee or disperse.
- On a successful DC 18 intimidation check. Only one check may be made per turn.
When a swarm disperses, its members flee in all directions. When a swarm flees, its members flee as a group. When fleeing, a commoner swarm's speed increases to 50 ft per turn, and it takes no actions.
