Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature’s space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Medium creature. The swarm can’t regain Hit Points or gain Temporary Hit Points.

Trample. The commoner swarm does 2d6 damage per turn to any medium or small creature it engulfs, on the turn that the swarm engulfs it.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The commoner swarm makes 4 attacks, or 3 attacks if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer. These attacks may be any combination of either Torches or Pitchforks.

Torches. When this feature is active the swarm has darkvision 30 ft. and can cause 2d6 fire damage to an opponent within 5 feet as part of its multiattack. It takes one round to activate this feature.

Pitchforks. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 10 ft., reach, one target per multiattack. Hit: 7 (2d6) piercing damage.

Disperse. The swarm will disperse or flee if any of the following conditions are met:

  • Once its hit points drop below 1/4 of its total hit points.
  • If it chooses to flee or disperse.
  • On a successful DC 18 intimidation check. Only one check may be made per turn.

When a swarm disperses, its members flee in all directions. When a swarm flees, its members flee as a group. When fleeing, a commoner swarm's speed increases to 50 ft per turn, and it takes no actions.
