Colossus Wielder[edit]

Fighter Subclass

In the heart of battle, amidst the clangor of steel and the roars of the fallen, the Colossus Wielder stands as a monument to raw, unbridled power. These formidable warriors, encased in layers of muscle and determination, choose to bear arms not just larger than life but nearly mythic in their proportions. Where others see the impracticality of wielding such massive weapons, they see a challenge to overcome and a path to unmatched dominance on the battlefield.

The Colossus Wielder does not merely fight; they obliterate. Each swing of their enormous weapon cleaves through the air with the force of a tempest, capable of shattering shields, armor, and bones with equal disdain. To stand before a Colossus Wielder is to feel the ground tremble with their every move, to see the very essence of battle embodied in the arc of their blade, and to know the true meaning of awe.

These warriors are more than just fighters; they are a force of nature. Whether hoisting a sword as tall as a man or swinging a hammer that could crush stone, the Colossus Wielder defies the limits of human strength and skill. Their presence on the field can turn the tide of war, breaking enemy lines as easily as they break spirits. In their hands, a weapon becomes an extension of their indomitable will, a tool to carve their legends into the annals of history.

Titanic Born

Starting at 3rd level, when you drop to 0 hit points, you drop to 1 hit point instead. You can do this once per long rest.

Titanic Arms

At 3rd level, your training and natural strength have allowed you to wield weapons of immense size with surprising ease and ferocity. You gain the following benefits :

  • Oversized Weapon Proficiency : You gain proficiency with oversized weapons, such as greataxes, greatswords, or any other two-handed melee weapon that typically requires a creature of larger size to wield effectively.
  • Titanic Swing : When you make an attack with an oversized weapon, you can choose to wield it in two hands as normal or grasp it with one hand. If you choose to wield it with two hand, you deal additional damage equal to your Strength modifier to the attack's damage roll. Additionally, when you attack you deals an extra 2d6 damage of the weapons type, you can make one additional weapon attack as a bonus action.
  • Shattering Strikes : Your blows with oversized weapons are devastating, capable of shattering armor and sundering shields. When you score a critical hit with an attack using an oversized weapon, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or have its AC reduced by 2 until the end of its next turn.
Gargantuan Grasp

Also at 3rd level, you've developed the muscular endurance and grip strength necessary to not only wield but also manipulate oversized weapons with incredible control and precision. This mastery over your massive armaments grants you unique combat maneuvers and defensive capabilities. You gain the following benefits :

  • Immovable Stance : While you are wielding an oversized weapon, you can plant yourself firmly on the ground as a bonus action. Until the start of your next turn, you gain advantage on saving throws against effects that would move you or knock you prone.
  • Deflecting Parry : When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to attempt to deflect the attack with your oversized weapon, reducing the damage by 1d10 + your Strength modifier + your fighter level. To use this feature, you must be wielding an oversized weapon.
  • Weapon Catch : If a creature you can see within 5 feet of you makes an attack against another target, you can use your reaction to interpose your oversized weapon in the path of the attack, potentially causing it to miss. Roll a d20 and add your proficiency bonus and your Strength modifier. If the total equals or exceeds the attacker's roll, the attack misses its intended target.
Behemoth's Stride

By the time you reach 7th level, your presence on the battlefield mirrors that of a mythic giant, moving through the fray with unstoppable momentum. Your mastery of oversized weaponry and your physical prowess now allow you to manipulate the battlefield to your advantage, embodying the unstoppable force and immovable object in equal measure. You gain the following benefits :

  • Unyielding Advance : When you move at least 10 feet in a straight line towards a target and then hit it with a melee weapon attack on the same turn, you can force the target to make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save, the target is either knocked prone or pushed 5 feet away from you (your choice). This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
  • Resilient March : While wielding an oversized weapon, difficult terrain created by non-magical means does not slow your movement. Furthermore, if an effect would move you against your will, you can use your reaction to reduce the distance you are moved by up to 10 feet.
  • Colossus Among Men : You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. Additionally, you can use oversized weapons to help you with skill checks where their size might be advantageous, such as using a giant greataxe to assist with an Intimidation check or a massive hammer for a Strength (Athletics) check to break down a door.
Behemoth's Resilience

By 10th level, your continuous battles while wielding colossal weapons have hardened your body and spirit, granting you resilience akin to the legendary behemoths of lore. This toughness allows you to shrug off attacks that would fell lesser warriors and to continue fighting even when grievously wounded. You gain the following benefits :

  • Stalwart Defense : Your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to twice your Fighter level when you gain this feature. Additionally, whenever you gain a Fighter level thereafter, your hit point maximum increases by an additional 2 hit points.
  • Enduring Warrior : You can use your reaction when you take damage to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your Strength modifier + your Fighter level. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Unyielding Might : When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Monolithic Swing

Reaching the 15th level as a Colossus Wielder, you've honed your ability to wield oversized weapons to such a degree that your attacks can now affect a wide arc, hitting multiple foes with a single, monumental swing. This ability to control the battlefield and deal devastating damage to several opponents simultaneously cements your status as a titan among combatants. You gain the following benefits :

  • Arcing Cleave : Whenever you take the Attack action on your turn and attack with an oversized weapon, you can replace one of your attacks with a sweeping cleave. This cleave attack targets each creature of your choice within a 5-foot arc in front of you. Make a separate attack roll for each target.
  • Crushing Impact : When you use your Arcing Cleave, you can choose to push each hit creature up to 10 feet away from you. Additionally, if any of the hit creatures is a Large or smaller size, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be knocked prone.
  • Momentum Conservation : After performing an Arcing Cleave, if you hit two or more creatures, you gain a bonus to all damage rolls against creatures hit by your cleave equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of 1) until the start of your next turn.
Titan's Dominion

At 18th level, your mastery of colossal weapons and your battlefield presence reach their zenith. You become an embodiment of destruction, a warrior whose very steps can change the course of battles. Your ability to wield oversized weapons inspires awe and fear, making you a legend. You gain the following benefits :

  • Irresistible Force : When you hit a creature with an oversized weapon, you can choose to make the attack an irresistible force. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be stunned until the end of its next turn. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
  • Titan's Call : You can emit a thunderous battle cry as a bonus action, bolstering your allies and intimidating your foes. Allies within 30 feet of you gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the start of your next turn. Enemies within 30 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be frightened of you for 1 minute. An enemy can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • Colossal Endurance : You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks. Your massive weapon not only serves as your tool of war but also as a shield, deflecting blows and turning aside attacks with ease.
