College of the Stage[edit]

Bard Subclass

Whether it's an actor, lighting designer or director, theater is full of brilliant creatives bringing the magic of theater to life. College of the stage bards use the deep emotions of theater to cast all sorts of spells, though they have a specialty in illusions.

Actor

When you join the College of the Stage at 3rd level, You get advantage on deception checks and two skill or tool proficiencies of your choice.

The Show Must Go On

Also at 3rd level, you learn how to improvise when you or your castmates are failing. This skill carries over into your daily life. As a reaction you can use one of your Bardic Inspiration dice to improve a failed roll by you or your allies.

Trick of the Trade

There are some spells that are so integral to your act that you can cast them at will. At 6th level, you can pick two first level bard spell that you can cast without consuming a spell slot. These do not count against your bard spells known. You gain an additional second level spell at 12th and 18th levels.

Director's Cut

Starting at 14th level, you can reroll a failed ability check by you or one of your allies. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of once). It resets on a long rest.
