College of Corruption (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
College of Corruption
Bard Subclass
Like other colleges, this Bard school allows one to learn the secrets to influence those around them. However, the purpose of this school is to give those gifted with speech the ability to bring about the total ruin of those that listen to them. For with a few choice words, a Bard of this school can cause fearsome beasts to flee in terror, or convince entire nations to wage war against opponents that are far above them in power. For true power is the ability to cause the most effect with the smallest effort.
Bonus Proficiencies
Starting at 3rd level, when you join the College of Corruption you gain proficiency with Intimidation, Persuasion or Deception. If you are already proficient with those skills, you may double the proficiency bonus of one of these skills.
Silver Tongue
Starting at 3rd level, you are a master at saying the right thing at the right time. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion) or Charisma (Deception) check, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
Dark Insight
At 6th level, your ability to gather stories and lore gains a supernatural edge, granting you the ability of Awakened Mind and the Detect Thoughts spell. You do not need to use a spell slot for this, but you can only cast it a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier -1. You regain any expended uses of this ability after completing a long rest.
If a creature resists your attempt to probe deeper and succeeds at its saving throw against your Detect Thoughts, you may roll a d4 and subtract that number from their rolled number.
Corrupting Demagogue
At level 14, your skills at manipulation have become extremely potent to the point where the reach and impact of your words rival that of the most charismatic politician.
When making a Charisma ability check, roll a d6. You can choose to either add that number to the d20 that was rolled for that check, or you can use that number to increase the amount of creatures affected by that check.
Can also add 2d4, and 2d6 to the damage caused by the spells Vicious Mockery and Dissonant Whispers once per turn equal to half the number of their charisma score bonus. Must take a long rest to recover this ability.
