College of Boom (5e Subclass)
College of Boom[edit]
Bards of the College of Boom have an affinity for hitting things to create their music. They can be heard and felt for miles around, leading a boisterous march or deafening their opponents in battle.
- Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Boom, you gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws. You can also add your proficiency bonus on attack rolls made with improvised weapons.
Additionally, you can use any percussion instrument as a spell focus for sonic and thunder magic only. Adept percussionists do not usually stick to one drum, and incorporate many different sounds into their repertoire of pain. You still require a main spell focus to cast all other forms of magic.
- Sonic Rapport
At 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to roll your Bardic Inspiration die, adding the number rolled to your AC and damage rolls made until the start of your next turn.
- Battle Drummer
At 6th level, you can make a weapon attack as a bonus action after casting a bard spell.
- Lord of Loudness
At 14th level, you become resistant to thunder damage and immune to the deafened condition.
In addition, you can add your Strength modifier to the damage roll of spells that cause thunder damage when using a drum as your spellcasting focus.
