College of Action (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
College of Action[edit]
There's something so magnetic about a hot person walking away from an explosion. A bard from the College of Action gets to live out the stories Hollywood can only dream of. They uplift their teammates in a way only a celebrity can. Their power comes not from music or dance, but from the reverence others give the famous and beautiful.
Men, women, and everyone in between that find themselves in this college command the stage that is life. Everyone wants to lay back and watch as they dominate all the encounters they come across. Whether they are casting up a storm or just trying to escape, bards of this college do well because the story demands it.
- Best of the Best
When you take this subclass at 3rd level, looking cool becomes half the battle. You gain proficiency with medium armor, finesse weapons, and firearms.
Choose a skill to have proficiency in: Athletics, Acrobatics, Survival. In addition, you add your Charisma modifier to the skill as well.
- Confidence Booster
Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your innate charms to make the magic happen. When a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a damage roll, you can use your reaction to expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling a Bardic Inspiration die and add the number rolled from the creature's roll. You can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails, or before the creature deals its damage. The creature is immune if it can't hear you or if it's immune to being charmed.
- Deadeye
At 6th level, your time on the big screen has come. When attacking with a finesse weapon or firearm, you may make a second attack as a bonus action. Attacks make with these weapons are critical on a 19 or 20.
In addition, you can expend one spell slot to deal piercing damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is equal to your bardic die for a 1st-level spell slot, plus one bardic die for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of three total bardic die.
- Legendary Star
At 14th level, your on-screen presence means you can never truly fail. If you are forced to make a Wisdom or Intelligence saving throw, you may instead make a Charisma saving throw. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier.
