Coiltail Shifter (5e Subrace)

Shifter Subrace[edit]
Coiltail shifters are controlling and threatening, typically tied to constricting serpents. You may have serpentine scales and a small tail that grows larger when you shift.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Serpenting Strength. You have proficiency with the Athletics skill. If you are already proficient with this skill, you gain proficiency with another skill of your choice.
Shifting Feature. While shifted, you can grapple with your tail. While doing so, you do not need a free hand to grapple the target, and when you first successfully grapple the target and at the start of each turn you can force the grappled creature to succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take bludgeoning damage equal to 1d8 + your Strength modifier.
