Places on Abel[edit]
The Desert[edit]
A great desert created by Kyros when he flung a piece of Seth onto the world while the star was still hot. Dragons, antelopes and desert plants live here. It is also the place of origin of the Duneswift.
The First Settlement[edit]
This is the place where the First were made and lived at the very beginning. It now lies in ruins since the Rushed tried to slaughter every First they could get their hands on. Next to it stands a portal that leads to the Haven of the First.
The Watchers Grove[edit]
A forest near the First Settlement. The Forest Guardians originated from here and the grove harbors significantly more of them than any other place on Abel. The majority of surviving First also live in this forest. The plains between the portal near the First Settlement and the Watchers Grove were the site of the first battle on Abel.
Rulithara[edit]
Eclipse[edit]
Eclipse is the capital city of the Umbrans.
Stonefall Lake[edit]
Stonefall Lake is a quiet but large lake surrounded by light woods on all sides. It was named after the event when the divine wolf Jormun dropped the original Keystone from the heavens and it crashed into the lake. There is a large cornfield nearby and many animals make their home in the area. It has a small creek leading in from the east from a larger forest, with a Starchild village along the creek between the lake and the forest. There is an opening to the Shadows Under The World when you cross the creek at night while both moons are new (completely dark).
The Darkest Forest[edit]
This is an overgrown swath of woods, surrounded on all sides by lesser woods. It is a difficult place to find, and even more difficult to navigate. It rains tremendous amounts, like a jungle, though lacks a tropical climate and is actually rather cool (without being frigid). Obsidian towers, sharp and pointy, pierce its center like spears. Here, the Carvers have made their capital.
The Underhills[edit]
Far in the warm north, seeded in the foothills of mountains, rests a series of low laying, natural caverns. These have been inhabited by the Monks, who wish themselves unto seclusion, and turned into their capitol. Their exact location is a secret to most, though not terribly difficult to find, should one go and look. Mostly sustained by small farm plots.
The Canvas College[edit]
Currently a makeshift, caravanesque settlement in the northern plains. The College has established this as their main headquarters. The actual buildings are quickly built (mostly tent like structures rather than solid wood buildings), and the layout of the "city" tends to change at whim. Over the years, the shifting foundations of the city have moved it steadily across the plains, sometimes fragments breaking off and going their own way.
Coral Settlements[edit]
There are currently two unnamed settlements within the coral structures in the sea. One belongs to the Brahmah, and the other to the Visnu. The Brahmah settlement is both older and larger. Both settlements feature natural housing (as in caves and alcoves to actual buildings).
