Circle of Fae Trickster[edit]

Druid Subclass

Druids within the Circle of the Fae Trickster believe that the Feywild is the essence of the material plane. Instead of taking their power from their belief in nature, druids who follow this path gain abilities and spells bestowed on them by the energy of the Feywild itself. This circle allows druids to release the energy of the Feywild in the form of trickery, natural prowess, and the unique power of the Feywild.

Feywild Courts[edit]

As the Feywild itself is divided, the Circle of the Fey are divided into two major sections: Seelie and Unseelie and one minor section: Wild. As a druid of Fey Trickster, you must make your alliance known.

Seelie Court

A whimsical court at the heart of the feywilds ruled by the beautiful kind Titania. The majority of fae are in this court and mostly live carefree lives in the glade and are generally very friendly, helpful ,and curious. Fae in this court are usually kind tricksters who live in harmony with nature. The Seelie court has a strong affinity with light, nature, and transmutation.

Unseelie Court

A dark jagged distorted version of the seelie court, this court is ruled by the Queen Of Air and Darkness whos name is lost to history, once sister to Titania and duchess to the Seelie court her heart desired darkness and evil, she represents the corrupted and evil buried the heart of the fey, the once kind pranks pulled by the fae are turned to misery and torture, fey who turned evil seek her out to be in her court and serve her as she allows them to embrace their inner darkness. Fae in this court are mostly evil with little regard to life and don’t respect nature but rather force their will upon it. The Unseelie court has an affinity for darkness, evocation, and frost.

Wild Court

The wild court, not necessarily a court but rather a term for Fae who don’t really align with a court and rather live in the wild and have a strong connection to animals as well as nature, despite not being in a court wild fae hold a respect for Titania and even call her for aid sometimes much like the members of the seelie court. The wild court specializes in being resourceful, conjuration, and using local animals for aid.

Circle Spells[edit]

Your mystical connection to the Feywild infuses you with the ability to cast certain Spells. At 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle Spells connected to your Fey power.

Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of Spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Blessing of the Court[edit]

At 2nd level, you are given encouragement for being in your fey wild shape. When you are in your fey wild shape, you gain the following:

  • If your stat block has "languages: slyvian", you can speak normally in this wild shape.
  • You gain telepathically up to your proficiency bonus times 20 ft. You can communicate and understand only in the languages that you know.
  • Your druidic spell focus transform into a peice of jewelry (usually a collar) that fits your current form. As long as you are wearing your spell focus, you can cast spells that matches spell school of your court: Seelie: Transmutation, Unseelie: Evocation, and Wild: Conjuration.
  • You can cast certain 1st level spell without using spell slots up to your proficiency bonus. This recharges a long rest. This spell depends on your court: Seelie: expeditious retreat, Unseelie: frost fingers, or Wild: entangle.

Manifest Echo[edit]

At 6th level, you can use a bonus action to magically manifest an echo of yourself in an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of you. This echo is a magical, translucent, gray image of a child if you sided with Seelie, an elder if join the Unseelie, or you at a slightly different time of your life if you succeed in remaining neutral. It lasts until it is destroyed, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, until you manifest another echo, or until you're incapacitated.

Your echo has AC 14 + your proficiency bonus, 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If it has to make a saving throw, it uses your saving throw bonus for the roll. It is the same size as you, and it occupies its space. On your turn, you can mentally command the echo to move up to 30 feet in any direction (no action required). If your echo is ever more than 60 feet from you at the end of your turn, it is destroyed.

  • As a bonus action, you can teleport, magically swapping places with your echo at a cost of 15 feet of your movement, regardless of the distance between the two of you.
  • When you take the Attack action on your turn, any attack you make with that action can originate from your space or the echo's space. You make this choice for each attack.
  • When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of your echo moves at least 5 feet away from it, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against that creature as if you were in the echo's space.

Extra Attack[edit]

At 6th level, you learn to put more effort into your attacks. When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional attack.

Feywild Bond[edit]

At 10th level, the bond with your feywild court enhances your destructive and restorative spells. Whenever you cast a spell that matches with your court (Seelie: transmutation, Unseelie: evocation, wild: conjugation) while your fey wild shape, you roll a d8, and you gain a bonus equal to the number rolled to one damage or heal roll of the spell.

Echo Bond[edit]

At 10th level, you reach to a new level with your echo. When you cast a spell with a range other than self, the spell can originate from you or your echo.

Feywild's Santurary[edit]

At 14th level, the feywild has granted you protection against itself and others. When a fey creature attacks you, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature must choose a different target, or the attack automatically misses. On a successful save, the creature is immune to this effect for 24 hours.

The creature is aware of this effect before it makes its attack against you.

Depending on your court, this feature also works on that creature type. Seelie: fiend, Unseelie: celestial, or Wild: beast.
