Chromatic Conclave[edit]

Ranger Subclass

Dragons are some of the most dangerous and incredible creatures in all the multiverse. Chromatic dragons are often destructive and greedy, while metallic dragons are more virtuous and kinder. Rangers of the Chromatic Conclave are known to worship dragons like gods. They will do anything to appease these would be gods.

Some rangers only observe this conclave's teachings in the hopes of hunting dragons easier. These rangers may despise dragons or simply desire to kill these large creatures for sport. Whatever the case, the Chromatic Conclave is feared by many due to their ties with dragons.

Draconic Resistance

At 3rd level, you've learned to adopt certain traits of dragons. At the beginning of a long rest, you can choose one of the following damage types to gain resistance to: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison.

This resistance lasts until you finish another long rest, where you may choose a new damage type or keep the old one.

Draconic Greed

At 3rd level, you can attune your senses to detect valuable items. By spending 1 uninterrupted minute in concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), you can sense whether there is money or magical items within 30 feet of you. This feature reveals where the magical items or money are located and the amount of them. It will also tell you the rarity of magical item and type of coin the money is.

Dragon Hunter

At 7th level, you have learned how to specifically kill and hunt dragons. You gain an extra damage die against dragons equal to your proficiency bonus.

You also gain Dragons as a favored enemy and this does not count against the number of favored enemies you can have. If you already have dragons as a favored enemy, then pick a different one.

Chromatic Damage

At 11th level, as a bonus action you can spend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to enchant your weapon with extra damage. When you use this feature, your weapon deals a number of extra damage dice equal to the spell slot you used. The damage type of these dice is the same as what you chose via your Draconic Resistance feature. This enchantment lasts until the end of your turn.

Legendary Resistance

At 15th level, you've taken on one of the greatest traits of dragons and now resist things far better. If you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead.

You have a number of uses equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded up. You regain all spent uses when you finish a long rest.
