Fighter Subclass
The Chaos Knight is a powerful fighter. His powers come from unstable magic that is born from a failed ritual, a curse, or some other sinister means of possessing such power. It is power so unstable that each blow is a terrifying magical outburst.
- Weapon of Chaos
Starting at 3rd level, you can attune yourself to a weapon after a long rest. This weapon becomes a chaos weapon (whether magical or not). Starting at 6th level, the magical property regarding resistances and immunity to physical attacks. Your spells given by your skills and DCs are given linked to your intelligence as long as you use your weapon which serves as an arcane focus. (10 + intelligence mod + mastery bonus)
- Power of Chaos
Starting at 3rd level, you gain chaos magic. When you attack with a chaos weapon, you deal a strike that inflicts a random type of damage (see the damage type table).
- Blessing of Chaos
Starting at 7th level, the character's chaos power evolves. You gain a chaos die equal to 1d4. The result is the number of chaos charges usable per long rest. Increases to 1d6+1 at 10th level, 1d8+2 at 13th level, 1d10+3 at 16th level, and 1d12+4 at 19th level. When hitting a target with a chaos weapon and inflicting damage with chaos power, it is possible to use one of the following effects:
- Unleashing chaos. You inflict an additional 1d6 damage of the same type as your chaos weapon to inflict. Increases to 1d8 at 10th level, 1d10 at 13th level, and 1d12 at 16th level. Consumes 1 Chaos Charge
- Chaos Bolt. You can use the Chaos Bolt spell as a bonus action. Consumes 2 Chaos Charges per spell level (Maximum level equal to proficiency bonus)
- Revenge of Chaos
From level 10, the character sees his power of chaos grow. When he suffers damage, by using this reaction, the character can unleash chaos on the target. The character points his blade at the attacker. The latter suffers 2d10 damage from chaos (see the principle of damage from chaos power). The damage increases to 3d10 at level 13, 4d10 at level 16 and 5d10 at level 19. The range is 18m maximum and the ability does not provoke an attack of opportunity. However, it can be countered by a counterspell (The 2d10 = level 1 spell, 3d10 = level 3 spell, 4d10 = level 5 spell and 5d10 = level 7 spell). This skill consumes 1 charge of chaos.
- Judgment of Chaos
From level 15, the character can pass the resistances of any damage and transforms the immunities into resistances if the strike is with the weapon of chaos
- Embodiment of chaos
At level 18, the warrior can unleash all his chaos power. He thus unlocks 2 chaos skills.
- Chaos explosion. The character can unleash his chaos power. By sacrificing a number of chaos charges not exceeding the proficiency bonus, he inflicts xdy in a 5-foot area around him per charge consumed. X = charge used. y = half the level rounded up.
- All for chaos. The character uses all the chaos charges he has left. For each charge he sacrifices, he adds 1dy to his next damage he inflicts. y = half the level rounded up.
In addition, if on initiative, the character no longer has any chaos charges, he recovers 1d4+1.
