Tiefling Subrace[edit]
You are born with ancestral ties to the plane of multitudes of imprisoning planetoids, and this tie grants you control over magics similar to the demodands native to it. Your appearance is likely slimy, flabby, and sickly green like the demodands you draw your heritage from.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Legacy of the Tarterian Depths. You know either the acid splash and poison spray cantrips. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast either the hold person or ray of enfeeblement spell once, you must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
Adhesive Ward. Starting at 5th level, as an action, you can channel the restraining energies of the demodands to bind other. For 10 minutes, whenever a creature makes a melee attack against you, and is no more than one size larger than you, they must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency modifier + your Constitution modifier), or become restrained by you until the start of their next turn. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
