Buer (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Buer[edit]
Large fiend (devil), lawful evil Armor Class 18 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Dex +11, Con +12, Wis +10 Devil's Sight. Magical darkness does not impede Buer's darkvision. Innate Spellcasting. Buer's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 20). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components: Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Buer fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead. Magic Resistance. Buer has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Magic Weapons. Buer's weapons are magical. Regeneration. Buer regains 10 hit points at the start of his turn. If he takes radiant damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of his next turn. Buer dies only if he starts his turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate. Tracker's Sense. Buer always knows the most direct path to any creature that he has shot with his longbow as long as he and the creature are on the same plane of existence. ACTIONSMultiattack. Buer makes two longbow attacks. Hoof. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage, or 16 (3d6 + 6) with hunter's mark. Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage, or 17 (2d8 + 1d6 + 5) with hunter's mark. If the target is a creature other than an undead or a construct, it must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 24 hours. While poisoned in this way, the creature’s speed is halved, and it cannot regain hit points. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of a long rest, ending the effect on itself on a success. Breaking Wheel (Recharge 5-6). Buer transforms into a five-legged wheel and moves up to his movement speed in a straight line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in his path must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 31 (10d4 + 6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, a creature is also knocked prone. Teleport. Buer magically teleports, along with any equipment he is wearing and carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space he can see.
LEGENDARY ACTIONSBuer can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Buer regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn. Kick. Buer makes a hoof attack. |
The great huntsman of the Nine Hells, Buer acts in service to the archdevil Levistus. He appears to desperate woodsmen who desire a greater understanding of medicine and the natural world, offering them the skills they need to survive, and thrive, in a hostile environment in exchange for their souls. The Dreadful Sagittary. Buer's true form is said to resemble a great centaur with iron hooves and the head of a lion. He carries a fearsome bow whose arrows are dipped in a venom so vile that it makes a victim's limbs as heavy as lead, and prevents the body from healing. Some diabolists believe that Buer carves the arrowheads from his own infernal bone marrow, for it is said that he knows exactly where any arrowhead is in relation to himself at any given time. Whether this is true or not, he is known to track his prey relentlessly and unerringly. Roving Mauler. Some infernal texts and tomes of diabolical lore depict Buer as a bizarre creature consisting of a lion's head with five goatlike legs radiating from it like the spokes of a wheel. This is not artistic license, for Buer can assume such a form in order to mow down his adversaries in a dervish of flailing hooves. |
