Brother of Blade[edit]
Monks are the masters of unarmed combat. Some monasteries, however, teach their acolytes the way of the swordsmanship. Brothers of Blade are monks specialized in the use of swords in synergy with martial arts, wielding their blades as if they were extensions of their bodies.
- Blade Mastery
Starting at 3rd level, you are proficient with blades, that are the shortsword, longsword, bastard sword, rapier, scimitar, and greatsword.
In addition, they are considered monk weapons for you.
- Cleave
At 3rd level, on your turn, when you score a critical hit with a melee weapon or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with one, you can make one melee weapon attack as a bonus action.
- Leaping Attack
At 3rd level, the Brother of Blade can make leaping attacks. Whenever you use your Step of the Wind feature, you gain advantage on all your melee weapon attacks made until the end of your turn.
- Blade Flurry
At 6th level, the Brother of Blade learns to swing his chosen weapon with amazing speed at the expense of his accuracy. When you use your Flurry of Blows feature, you can replace one of the unarmed strikes you can make by an attack with a weapon from your Blade Mastery feature.
At 11th level, you can replace both Flurry of Blows unarmed strikes by attacks with your Blade Mastery weapon.
- Ki Sword
Also at 6th level the Brother of Blade learns to infuse his chosen weapon with ki. Any piercing or slashing weapon you wield is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances and immunities to non-magical damage.
- Meditative Strike
At 11th level, the Brother of Blade gains the ability to make incredibly accurate attacks after a moment of meditation. Once per turn you can forgo one of your attacks made as part of an Attack action to make a Meditative Strike. Also, this attack ignore resistances, immunities to damage and damage threshold.
- Whirlwind of Steel
At 17th level, you can use your action to make melee attacks against any number of creatures within 5 feet of you, with a separate attack roll for each target.
You can use your Flurry of Blows after after using your action to perform the Whirlwind of Steel.
