Brilrine (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Brilrine[edit]
-"During life, Brilrine's could have been a series of things. Now, they are but demons. "-
Physical Description[edit]
Brilrine are often felt to appear closer to demons, rather than humans. Which, is quite the fair assessment after looking at their ghostly body. While being semi-translucent and see-through, their torso is vaguely humanoid, the main difference being two extra arms attached to their sides. Their head and face are that of a human, with a pair of horns decorating their head. Their lower body is equally as weird, with more goat-shaped legs than human, and cloven hooves. In certain cases, parts of their body may be that of an animal, replaced by the necromancer who remade them. Often times, they prefer to cover those animal parts with mummy-like wrappings, although there certainly are exceptions. And, most noticeably, after getting past their monstrous appearance and height, when over-exerted, their hearts pumping the red-hot fluid throughout their bodies show through their skin.
History[edit]
Brilrine come in all shapes and sizes due to their...unfortunate history. Some may appear vaguely like an orc or an elf, showing signs from their past life. Whatever life they had before, was taken and turned on its head. While some are kidnapped, killed, and then turned into these demon-like creatures. Others are dug up from graves, or pulled from the battlefield. Left to be a necromancers experiment.
Society[edit]
It's rare to find a group of Brilrine traveling together, a relatively rare species, who often decide life in this form, is not worth living. When they are found traveling together, it's often in small groups, bouncing from town to town. Never yet, has a Brilrine town been found.
Brilrine Names[edit]
Brilrine names often come from their past lives, however, some choose to change those names.
