Breath Channeling (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Breath Channeling
Prerequisites: Some form of breath attack (such as the breath weapon trait, access to the dragon's breath spell or the breath of the dragon feature.
You can bend and control the elemental power of your breath attacks. You gain the following benefits:
- You can use a breath attack once, without spending resources (uses, points or spell slots). Once you do so, you can't do it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
- As a reaction when you take damage from the damage type correspondent to the type of your breath attack, you can use your reaction and spend a use of your breath attack, and roll its damage. Doing so reduces the damage by the number rolled on its damage dice.
- When you use your breath weapon, you can charge your own melee weapon attacks or unarmed strikes with elemental energy. Until the end of your next turn, your melee weapon attacks and unarmed strikes cause additional 1d6 damage, from your breath attack's type.
