Amphibious. The bog wader can breathe air and water.

Barbed Hide. At the start of each of its turns, the bog wader deals 5 (1d10) piercing damage to any creature grappling it. If a cresture makes a melee attack against the Bog Wader they take 5 (1d10) piercing damage.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The bog wader makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 14). Until this grapple ends, the bog wader can bite only the grappled creature and has advantage on attack rolls to do so.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Resin Mucus (Recharge 6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 5/60 ft., one Large or smaller creature. Hit: The creature is restrained by mucus. As an action, the restrained creature can make a DC 14 Strength check, escaping from the mucus on a success. The effect ends if the mucus is destroyed. The mucus has AC 10, 5 hit points, resistance to bludgeoning damage, and immunity to poison and psychic damage.

REACTIONS

Mucus Burst (1/Day). When the bog wader dies it explodes in an area of mucus 10 feet in diameter around itself and all creatures aside from other bog waders must are affected by the bog wader's Resin Mucus ability.

Bog waders are terrifying monsters that dwell in the corrupted swamps below the jagged cliffs as well as deep in the cavernous realms below Athas. They have various razor sharp pines growing on their bodies and they even emit an explosion of glue-like mucus when near death. They are formidable ambush predators that lurk near lakes, swamps and rivers.
