Blood Wizard[edit]
Wizard Arcane Tradition
Blood Wizards are wizards who can use blood, and their own vitality to cast, and empower their spells. It is a dark, and frowned upon practice, that only the most desperate, or demented individuals would do.
- Blood Magic Savant
Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use vials of humanoid blood, or your own, as an arcane focus. You can create a blood vial by cutting yourself or a willing creature with a dagger, shortsword, a weapon dealing slashing damage, or anything your dm deems reasonable, dealing 3d6 slashing damage. You can also take blood from the dead body of a humanoid. You can only have 3 vials of blood at once, and only one can be made from the blood of a dead body at a time.
- Blood Magic
Starting at 2nd level, you can cast wizard spells using your blood. Rather than using a spell slot, you can cast a spell by cutting yourself with a dagger, shortsword, a weapon dealing slashing damage, or anything your dm deems reasonable, dealing a number of d6s in magical slashing damage equal to the spell slot level you wish to cast the spell at to yourself. You can only cast spells through blood magic up to a spell level of spells slots wizards of your level have. If the damage makes you fall to 0 hit points, or kills you, you don't go unconscious, or die, until straight after you cast the spell.
- Blood Sacrifice
Starting at 6th level, you can pour the blood from a vial of blood onto the ground, using it to cast a spell, without using a spell slot, or a material component, unless a material component contains a stated value. The spell has a maximum level of 3rd.
- Blood Enhancement
Starting at 10th level, when casting a spell, you can cut yourself, dealing a number of d6s in magical slashes damage to yourself equal to the spell slot level of the spell you are casting. After paying this, you can remove one component from the spells casting, somatic, verbal, or material. (If it uses multiple material components it removes all of them. If the spell has a material component with a cost, it only removes that singular material component, and instead you take magical slashing damage equal to the cost.) You can stack this ability to remove all components. If the damage makes you fall to 0 hit points, or kills you, you don't go unconscious, or die, until straight after you cast the spell.
- Blood Harvesting
Starting at 14th level, you gain resistance to slashing damage, both magical and nonmagical, and gain the ability tô use others as fuel to your magic. As an action, you can drain an dead body to the ashes, transmuting his esence into a spell slot equal to half the creatures CR. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your inteligente modifier (min. 1).
