Blessing of the Gods Sorcery (5e Subclass)
Blessing of the Gods Sorcery[edit]
Sorcerers who acquire the "Blessing of the Gods" subclass are those who have been blessed by the gods, granting them divine power that goes beyond ordinary magic. These characters have a direct connection to the divine and can use this blessing to enhance their magic and protect those in need.
One way a character can obtain the Blessing of the Gods is through their lineage. If your ancestor helped a god or goddess and lent you a small part of their power as thanks, you too can inherit that divine power. This divine legacy allows you to access your ancestor's magic and through it gain the Blessing of the Gods.
Another way a character can gain the Blessing of the Gods is through exposure to divine domains. If, for example, you travel through a sacred region or come into contact with a divine relic, you can be imbued with the divine energy that permeates those places and objects. This can grant you the ability to cast divine spells and gain the Blessing of the Gods.
