Beloved Wallower[edit]

Beloved Wallowers are characters that grew up with especially low money, the lowest of commoners these people were set up for amazing come up stories where any feat they achieved felt great as they started so low. However, instead of seeking out to make any money to have their come up, they instead spent their time learning how to get around paying for things without stealing. Whether this be through a silver tongue, acts of service, or playing music, they always find a way around paying.

Skill Proficiencies:Persuasion and Performance

Tool Proficiencies:A musical instrument worth no more than 5 gp

Equipment:The musical instrument you are proficient in, a peasant’s outfit, a pouch with 2 copper pieces

Feature:Charming Scoundrel[edit]

Due to their antics of never paying, most people who know them are quite pleased to see them walk into any establishment. Due to their ways as a charming figure that refuses to pay, they can usually get most small services that require paying for free through some other means, like offering to do the dishes for a meal, or to play music for a room at an inn. This does not work with getting expensive items, or many items at all, but drinks and lodging are usually fair game

Suggested Characteristics[edit]

d8 Personality Trait
1 I don’t realize I probably should get actual money instead of goofing off for free stuff for the rest of my life as I am too naive to see any other way to live
2 I am sick and tired of my own antics, but now I’m too well known and it works too well to stop it, so I’m like a celebrity plagued by fame
3 Even if now I make money as an adventurer, I use my talents so me and my friends can spend less money and have more fun adventures
4 I think everyone who falls for my tricks and gives me free stuff are suckers, I’m like a conman!
5 I don’t actually draw a line at stealing anymore, as long as I get what I need
6 I only even do this anymore because of the chance to romance anyone who is pleased with my antics
7 I think money should be abolished, everyone oughta figure out some service they can provide for another!
8 Talents should be shared, and I’ll teach anyone I meet my ways so everyone can live jobless!
d6 Ideal
1 Friendship. I do this so me and my friends can carry on our adventures and save our money for important stuff! (Good)
2 Naivety. I don’t realize I could be doing anything else, so I’m doing this! (Neutral)
3 Trickery. I’m pulling one over on those dweebs! They don’t realize I am just in this for the free stuff and could pay! (Evil)
4 Service. I perform services, play music, and do small tasks in gratitude for all I gain (Lawful)
5 Whatever Works. I sometime perform services, but other times I just do whatever the patrons need for me to get my way, as long as it isn’t too gruesome and evil. (Neutral)
6 Fuck It. I will get my way, whatever it takes-except cash-(Chaotic)
d6 Bond
1 My instrument is very meaningful to me and I will never let go
2 Growing up without money means the reason I do this now is because I’m obsessed with hoarding what little wealth I have
3 Even if I can afford better clothes, these have meaning
4 You’ll never catch me spending my lucky pennies!
5 I do all this for my friends, if something happened to them that’s a sign I need to start acting normal
6 Getting girls is the biggest part of the job, or else I’m quitting it
d6 Flaw
1 I despise nobility for having what I always wished I did
2 If my antics don’t work- I’ll try again! Keep bothering them till I succeed!
3 I am too interested in the love I get for being so likable I sometimes the task at hand
4 I love my old stuff so much that if it was between my friends and them- I can always find a new party
5 I am terribly paranoid of the day I can’t sing and do dishes my way out of any charge
6 After traveling and odd jobs for services for so long, the thought of settling down makes me jumpy and runs shivers down my spine
