A character knows the following information with a successful

Nature check.

DC 10: The battle mastiff is a large dog bred for war. They are sometimes ridden by halflings.

DC 15: The battle mastiff will try to knock its opponent prone before biting it.

Effect: The mastiff can move up to its speed and enter one enemy's space. This movement provokes opportunity attacks, and the mastiff must end its move in an previously occupied space. When it enters an enemy’s space, the mastiff makes a an attack:

Effect: The battle mastiff can act as a mount for any small humanoid:
