Bathuria[edit]

The Bathuria are, if you haven't guessed a race of humanoid bats. The creations of a dark god of fear and the night they stand as a symbol of terror in the hearts of society, urban, and non.

Personality[edit]

Bathuria are sick creatures, they delight in the panic and blood shed of the innocent. A good panic is always a good laugh, they don't truley care who. They are random, malicious, and quick to discriminate against others, just as they have been. All in all other people are just jokes waiting to happen, and your blood is the punchline

Physical Description[edit]

Bathuria are very bat-like, they have the curled accentuated nose, sharp teeth, and fur. This said fur is normally a sharp dark, light absorbing shade of black, rarely, the fur is a shade of bright white, there is only a 1% of this happening. They have large ears and poor eye sight, this is a result of the bat heritage they have. Of course, all of these are simply dwarfed (no offense) by the large, membraneous, demonic bat wings that spring forth from their backs

Relations[edit]

Do to the heavy racisim laced upon them for their demonic appearance and sense of humor they have become nearly xenophobic. The bathuria see the gnomes as just as boisterous and comedically inclined as they, yet they find their comedy childish, simplistic, and boring. The only race they truly connect with are the Half Orcs, they find their massive hulking figures and feral appearance can intimidate and frighten just as well as theirs, also. they find some connection between rejection based on appearance and vicious ancestry. Many Half Orcs are sent as emissaries to Bathuria. Bathuria also get along with vampires of any race, they find his abilities of stealth and ability to polymorph into a bat gives them instantaneous respect with any and nearly all Bathuria, circumstantially the only group a Bathuria would Not try to frighten or prank

Alignment[edit]

With a well defined streak for cruelty they are nearly always evil, even the most sincere are never lawful. With the randomness of their behavior and lack of honor lead to a natural chaotic lifestyle

Lands[edit]

Bathuria are well known for living in colonies of about 300 in woods outside civilized areas, Bathurias have never claimed things as empires, stories tell of this happening various times before, yet they eventually fell apart due to lack of control. They enjoy the dark, eeire, ominous places if not in the dark woods. They rarely come out during the day, they are naturally nocturnal creatures. Though many whom live near/in urban settlements have worked on reversing their internal clock, quite well

Religion[edit]

When you ask any Bathuria his religion he will always say "Erythnul, god of hate, envy, malice, panic, ugliness, and slaughter!" Erythnul is the creator of the Bathuria people, all Bathuria and even more sealotic about their creator and life style than anyone else, even the dwarves if possible. Of course they do respect other deities as important aspects in their lives. They get along with Clerics of Olidammara due to his Chaotic standpoint and see his similarity to the King of Hate striking, they only fin them too weak, not malicious enouugh

Language[edit]

The Bathuria speak Bathurtar, the native tounge, that they believe was the language their god gave them, it has been handed down from generation to generation. The alphabet is commonly Infernal

Names[edit]

The Bathuria are named in Infernal of Bathutar, many times a combination of the two languages,
