This formidable creature can burrow through solid rock with its massive forelegs and elongated claws. Its snout is covered in tiny tendrils that can sense enemies and prey without sight.

Strategies and Tactics[edit]

Combat: Badger moles use their powerful claws and sharp teeth to tear at opponents' flesh. If they can, they'll fight in the dark, especially underground, to take advantage of their superior senses.

Ecology[edit]

Environment: Badger moles live underground, burrowing to travel and catch small prey unawares. They typically dwell in self-made caves, creating a network of tunnels. Goblins will often inhabit a badger mole's tunnel system after they have died or been killed.

Typical Physical Characteristics: The badger mole's eyes can only detect light and dark, but it is hardly handicapped due to its remarkable sense of smell and ability to detect movement through the earth. A badger mole usually leaves behind a usable tunnel about 5 feet in diameter when burrowing unless the material it's moving through is very loose.

A badger mole is usually between 4 and 7 feet long, weighing between 300 and 600 pounds. On occasion, long-living badger moles reach immense sizes, growing to a length of up to 15 feet long and weighing as much as 8,000 pounds.

Alignment: Badger moles are always neutral.

Lore[edit]

Dwarves who are rangers or druids will often take a badger mole as a companion, as their mining ability is greatly substantial.
