Physical Description[edit]
These beefy creatures are usually quite tall and often have a strong build. Their faces are a little derpy, resembling an axolotl, but are strangely very charismatic looking. The color of their skin also can be absolutely any color.
History[edit]
The Axolots were created by the Aztec god Xolotl, who was taken from his universe and trapped in this one so he got bored and made the Axolots.
Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]
Each Axolot is quite different from any other, though usually have a happy disposition and are often heroes in stories.
Axolot Traits[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Increase one ability score by 2, and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.
Age. Matures at 15, lives for 50-60 years.
Alignment. Most common is Neutral good.
Size. Average height is 6ft 6in at maturity. Size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is <speed> feet. Your base walking speed is 35 feet. You also have a swimming speed of 40 feet.
Amphibious. You can breathe air and water.
Water Dependency. Your head needs to be submerged under water for at least 2 hours per 12 hours. If your head has not been submerged before the 12 hours is up, you will take 1d12 damage every 15 minutes.
Axolot Regeneration. You can regenerate yourself using the effects of Cure Wounds an amount equal to half your level (minimum 1) per long rest. You can use the Cure Wounds as a level spell equal to half your level (minimum 1, maximum 9)
Axolot Resilience. Things trying to infect you with a disease have disadvantage when rolling for a successful infection. Take half of the effects of all diseases rounded up.
Proficiencies. Strength saving throws, charisma saving throws, persuasion checks, great axes, and war hammers.
Xolot’s Gift. When you create a character with this race you choose from either fire, lightning, deformities, or death. If you choose fire, you may re-roll an amount of fire damage dice equal to your level per long rest. If you choose lightning, you may re-roll an amount of lightning damage dice equal to your level per long rest. If you choose deformities, whenever you deal bludgeoning damage, you make a strength saving throw (DC 20+enemy’s strength modifier). On a success, you break the park of the being you hitIf you choose death, when you personally bring a being to a heath that is equal to or below the same number as your level, they die.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
