The Long axe is a long over-sized curved axe head attached to a 10 ft. pole. Because of the weight of the long axe's head you need at least a 16 str. to use it effectively anyone else using it takes a -4 penalty to attack. The length allows the wielder to strike opponents 10 ft. away but because the length of the axe head descends along the pole it can be used against adjacent opponents as well. Characters proficient with the greataxe can treat it as a greataxe for the purpose of any of the following feats: Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization.
