Awd's Ambulatory Locomotion
Transmutation [Makes a Vehicle Move.]
Level: Sor/Wiz 3
Components: 1 Gallon of Flamable Oil
Casting time: 1 Standard Action
Range: Touch
Target: 1 Wheeled Vehicle no larger than a standard Wagon, or 1 Boat no larger than a standard whaling skiff, or 1 Sled like vehicle no bigger than a standard 2 Person Sleigh.
Duration: Concentration
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

Material Component: 1 Gallon of Flammable Oil

The Caster touches the appropriate Vehicle, annointing it with the Gallon of Oil, which then allows the Caster to cause the Vehicle to move either forward or backward, at 50 feet per round if unladen and on a smooth track or road or calm water, 40 feet per round if laden on a smooth track or road or calm water, or 20 feet per round on rough terrain or rough water. The Vehicle can become stuck if the terrain is muddy, flooded, a bunch of tar, etc. If the vehicle is a boat type it cannot move in very rough water, and can be capsized just like any other boat if the water is too rough.
The Caster must be touching or riding in the vehicle and must concentrate on making it move. If Concentration is lost the spell ends, but can be cast again if another material component is used.

Notes:: Another spell of Awd the Goblin from the Earthe' Campaign Setting. After losing too many horses, oxen, goats, and a few ogres to hungry dragons, bulettes and a purple worm, Awd created this spell to avoid losing more draft animals/creatures. It is rummored that there is a 7th level version of this spell that is powerful enough to make a sea going vessel the size of a Galleon move, but no one has found it, and Awd can't rememember if he actually created it or not. (He is a Goblin after all.)
