Avatar of Rage (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Avatar of Rage[edit]
Barbarian Path
“ | When he was seen on the battlefield, his enemies could do nothing but run from his presence, while we all have the burning desire to run our enemies down. | ” |
—4th Calvary Soldiers' journal entry |
Barbarians who follow this path are able to imbue creatures with the implacable wrath that burns inside their souls. This incite their allies to become powerful warriors, and at the same time drives their enemies to insanity, forcing them to recklessly throw themselves against these powerful warriors, realizing only too late the mistake they've made. An Avatar of Rage is a spirit of war and destruction, and some say they have the blessing of the gods of war, for spreading chaos and bloodshed whatever they go.
- Incite Fury
Starting at 3rd level, when you rage, a number of creatures of your choice up to your Constitution modifier, that you can see within 10 feet of you(minimum of 1), can add your Rage damage bonus to their melee weapon attacks, unarmed strikes, and natural weapon attacks using Strength.
In addition, for the duration of your rage, you and any friendly creature that starts their turn within 10 feet of you gains a 5-foot increase to their walking speed for that turn.
- Mindless Charge
At 6th level, while raging, you can use your bonus action on your turn and choose any number of creatures affected by your Incite Fury. A chosen creature can use its reaction move up to its speed directly toward their nearest enemy.
Alternatively, you use this feature can force a hostile creature that can see you within 30 feet to make a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or use its reaction to move up to its movement speed to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you, trough the safest and most direct route possible. The movement made by your enemy doesn't cause opportunity attacks.
- Aura of Bloodletting
When you reach the 10th level, when you rage you unleash an aura of fury. For the duration of your rage, whenever you use your Reckless Attack, each creature affected by your Incite Fury can also use Reckless Attack on their next turn.
- Overwhelming Fury
At 14th level, once per turn when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack while raging, you can attempt to flood it with rage. That creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier), or can only use its actions to make melee attacks until the end of its next turn.
