Aura of Light. The aurora radiates bright light in a 60-foot radius. If an undead enters or ends its turn inside the aura, it takes 9 (2d8) radiant damage.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the aurora fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Spellcasting. The aurora is a 20th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 21, +13 to hit with spell attacks). The aurora has the following wizard spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): acid splash, prestidigitation, ray of frost, shocking grasp, true strike
1st level (4 slots): burning hands, detect magic, fog cloud, sleep, thunderwave
2nd level (3 slots): gust of wind, hold person, scorching ray, suggestion
3rd level (3 slots): counterspell, dispel magic, fireball, lightning bolt
4th level (3 slots): greater invisibility, ice storm, polymorph, resilient sphere
5th level (3 slots): cone of cold, contact other plane, hold monster, wall of force
6th level (2 slots): chain lightning, sunbeam
7th level (2 slots): forcecage, plane shift
8th level (1 slot): sunburst
9th level (1 slot): meteor swarm

The most powerful of all auroras, the spellcasters wield mighty spells, and are usually very old.
