Saving Throws Str +21, Dex +21, Con +21, Int +21, Wis +21, Cha +20 Judgement. Whenever a creature attacks, that creature must first make a DC 20 wisdom saving throw, on a failed saving throw. the creature is frightened. while frightened in this way. that creature must bow to Athias and ask to be let go. Spellcasting. Athias is a wizard and can cast any wizard 1st level 10/day each 2nd level 9/day each. 3rd level 8/day each, and so forth till 9th level 1/day each. Limited Magical Immunity. Unless he wants to be affected, Athias is immune to all spells of 5th level or lower. Regeneration. Athias regains 20 hit points at the start of his turn as long as he is not unconscious. Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead. ACTIONSMultiattack. Athias is also a monk and can make four claw, two bite, and one tail attack, or he can use a breath weapon and a tail attack. Claw. +20 to hit, reach 15 feet., one target. Hit: 38 (10d6 + 8) slashing damage plus 22 (5d8) radient damage and stunning strike each time. Tail. +20 to hit, reach 20 feet., three targets not in front of him. Hit: 35 (6d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage plus 22 (5d8) radient damage. and stunning strike each time. Bite. +20 to hit, reach 10 feet., one target. hit: 107 (15d12+10) radiant damage Crush. The dragon attempts to crush its foes underneath it using its weight. All creatures in the dragon's space must make a DC 28 Dexterity saving throw. On a success, a creature is not crushed, and moves out of the dragon's space to a space adjacent to the dragon. On a failure, a creature becomes grappled by the dragon (escape DC 20). While grappled in this manner, a creature is also considered prone and restrained, and takes 28 (4d8 + 10) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of the dragon's turns. A creature is freed from this grapple when the dragon moves. Swallow. The dragon makes one bite attack against a Gargantuan or smaller creature it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target takes the bite's damage, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the dragon, and it takes 81 (18d8) acid damage at the start of each of the dragon's turns. Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 28 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours. Cold Breath. Athias exhales cold in a 120-foot cone. Each of the creatures in that area must make a DC 30 Dexterity saving throw or take 100 (10d20) cold damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. Fire Breath. Athias exhales fire in a 120-foot cone. Each of the creatures in that area must make a DC 30 Dexterity saving throw or take 100 (10d20) fire damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. Disintegration Breath. Athias exhales a beam of light that is five feet wide and can be up to 400 feet long. Each creature in that area must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw, taking 87 (12d12 + 15) force damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. Lightning Breath. Athias exhales a line of lighting that is 10 feet wide and up to 400 feet long. Each creature in that line must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 90 (9d20) lighting damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one. Acid Breath. Athias exhales acid in a 200-foot line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 80 (8d20) acid damage on a failed save and half as much on a successful one.
LEGENDARY ACTIONSAthias can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Athias regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn. Wing Attack (Costs 1 Actions). Athias beats his wings. Each creature within 80 feet of him must succeed a DC 30 Dexterity saving throw or take 78 (12d12) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. |
Athias the black dragon is a wizard-monk and the patron of the monks who live on the mountain where he resides, every generation or so a wizard monk gestalt character is born in the monastary, and the wizard monk is initiated by meeting Athias. |
