Architect (5e Subclass)
Architect[edit]
Artificer Subclass From the most humble countryside watchtower, made to last for generations to the largest and most intricate bridge facilitating trade and goodwill between empires. An Architect Artificer can play many parts in society by building for coin or community, for war or for peace. Artificers who specialize in architecture are masters of their craft, being a one-man construction team capable of planning, preparing and building anything they set their mind to. But many go out into the world to gather inspiration, materials or even workers to aid them in their next creation. Whatever they may intend to find on their quests, they will not let themselves or their companions live without the structure of society, even in the most treacherous of terrain.
- Tools of the trade
When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with mason's tools or carpenter's tools. If you already have these proficiencies, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.
- Architect Spells
Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Architect Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.
Artificer Level | Spell |
---|---|
3rd | silent image, arms of hadar |
5th | web, spike growth |
9th | glyph of warding, tiny hut |
13th | dimension door, fabricate |
