Architect[edit]

Artificer Subclass From the most humble countryside watchtower, made to last for generations to the largest and most intricate bridge facilitating trade and goodwill between empires. An Architect Artificer can play many parts in society by building for coin or community, for war or for peace. Artificers who specialize in architecture are masters of their craft, being a one-man construction team capable of planning, preparing and building anything they set their mind to. But many go out into the world to gather inspiration, materials or even workers to aid them in their next creation. Whatever they may intend to find on their quests, they will not let themselves or their companions live without the structure of society, even in the most treacherous of terrain.

Tools of the trade

When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with mason's tools or carpenter's tools. If you already have these proficiencies, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.

Architect Spells

Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Architect Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Artificer Level Spell
3rd silent image, arms of hadar
5th web, spike growth
9th glyph of warding, tiny hut
13th dimension door, fabricate
17th telekinesis, wall of force
Construction Site

You have started using magic to change and adapt your surroundings, either enabling your allies or hindering your foes. As a bonus action on your turn you can designate an area as your Construction Site and any amount of Creatures as Contractors within the area of the effect, if one is already active it is dismissed and you may change the Contractors. This Construction Site is a 20 ft radius magical spere centred on you and lasts for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it as a free action. As part of this bonus action and on any bonus action while the Construction Site is active you or any Contractors can change difficult terrain into normal terrain and normal terrain into difficult terrain anywhere inside the Construction Site. The Construction Site does not move with you and any terrain changed using this feature stays that way after the effect ends.

You can use this feature a number of ties equal to your Intelligence modifier and recover all uses on a long rest. Additionally you can use any spell slot to create another Construction Site, with the radius increasing by 5 ft for every spell slot level above 1st.
