Wizards who use their arcane knowledge and ability to hunt down rare ingredients. Physically stronger than most wizards these Arcane Chefs seek out thrill, exotic tastes and adventure.
Chef's Zeal
Through their continued exploration into dangerous monster dens and diving into treacherous lands in search of immeasurably rare spices arcane chefs have become stronger and more persistent than other wizards. Because of this starting at 2nd level Arcane Chefs hit dice are converted from a 1d6 to a 1d8.
You also have Proficiency with Cooks Utensils.
Chefs Physique Being a chef is no joke. It's hard work. You need to be tough. At 2nd level when you pick this subclass, and whenever you increase your level as a eye mage, you can add your intelligence modifier to your new max hp.
Chefs Meal
Starting at 2nd level you can now prepare meals which can be consumed in 10 minutes and have special attributes depending on how it is prepared or what spices are used. You can prep up to 3 meals using 1 spell slot, taking 1 hour to make.The meals last 6 hours before spoiling. You can have up to 3 meals prepared at any given time.
Signature Spice
As a right of passage to all Arcane Chefs, they are tasked to retrieve a rare spice that enhances their dishes and gives them an edge. Choose one of these spices.
1. Spice of Healing: If used in a meal heals an added 2d4 at 2nd level, 3d4 at 10th, 4d4 at 14th. If used without being prepared then it heals a 1.
2. Spice of Rage: If used in a meal it gives an added 1d4 to damage rolls at 2nd level, 3d4 at 10th, 5d4 at 14th. if used without being prepared it gives an added 1 to damage rolls. The bonus lasts 1 hour if used in a meal or if used alone it lasts 5 rounds.
3. Spice of Strength: If used in a meal it gives an added 1d4 to Strength based rolls at 2nd level (this includes attack rolls), 1d6 at 10th level, 1d8 at 14th level. If used without being prepared it gives an added 1 to Strength based rolls. This bonus lasts 1 hour if used in a meal or if used alone it lasts 5 rounds.
4. Spice of Dexterity: If used in a meal it gives an added 1d4 to Dexterity based rolls at 2nd level (this includes attack rolls), 1d6 at 10th level, 1d8 at 14th level. If used without being prepared it gives an added 1 to Dexterity based on rolls. This bonus lasts 1 hour if used in a meal or if used alone it lasts 5 rounds.
5. Spice of Intelligence: If used in a meal it gives an added 1d4 to Intelligence based rolls at 2nd level (this includes attack rolls), 1d6 at 10th level, 1d8 at 14th level. If used without being prepared it gives an added 1 to Intelligence based on rolls. This bonus lasts 1 hour if used in a meal or if used alone it lasts 5 rounds.
6. Spice of Wisdom: If used in a meal it gives an added 1d4 to Wisdom based rolls at 2nd level (this includes attack rolls), 1d6 at 10th level, 1d8 at 14th level. If used without being prepared it gives an added 1 to Wisdom based on rolls. This bonus lasts 1 hour if used in a meal or if used alone it lasts 5 rounds.
7. Spice of Constitution: If used in a meal it gives 2d6 temporary hitpoints at 2nd level, 3d6 at 10th, 4d6 at 14th. If used without being prepared it gives 1d6 temporary hitpoints. These bonuses last until the temporary hitpoints are expended.
8. Spice of Life and Death: If used in a meal it heals a 1d4 at 2nd level, 2d4 at 10th, 3d4 at 14th. If used without being prepared roll a 1d4
1. Poisoned for 1d4 rounds taking 1d4 damage 2. Paralyzed for 1d4 rounds 3. Sneezing fit and knocked prone for 1d4 rounds 4. Falls asleep for 1d4 rounds
Target makes a constitution save, if failed the rolled affect occurs.
It takes one day to cultivate 3 vials of your spice. You may hold up to 9 vials at a time.
Preparation Style
At level 6 you have finally mastered your prep style giving your meals an added effect.
1. On the go: Meals have been made small and portable. Your dishes can now be eaten in one action instead of 10 minutes.
2. Slow roasted: Due to your slow and methodical cooking you have brought out the true potential of your dishes. Your dishes take a full long rest to prepare and now double the effectiveness of the spices used.
3. Sun soaked: Your meals have been drying at and absorbing their spices letting them last longer. Your dishes take a full long rest to prepare and now last up to two weeks.
4. Self Grown: Your meals now do not have a cost due to your expertise in manipulating the weave.
Master of The Kitchen
At Level 14 you have been in the kitchen countless times, you know the awareness needed to be there and have cut yourself many a time. You gain Blindsight 50 ft., proficiency in slight of hand checks (expertise if you already have proficiency) and slashing damage resistance.
