Aquarius[edit]
“ | Never expected the "waterbearer" to ... bear so much, hehe... | ” |

Physical Description[edit]
The aquarii are walrus-like humanoids. Their flippers are long like arms, with prehensile fingers. Their tail is divided to make legs. Each of their limbs end with a webbed flipper. Like a walrus, they have thick blubber on their body, which accounts for a lot of their weight. This weight is centered around their gut area, giving them a large bulge. They also have thick, wrinkly skin. Their faces are basically that of a walrus, complete with whiskers and tusks.
History[edit]
It is said that the aquarii originated from the Elemental Plane of Water. This is disputed since they are mammalian in nature and are not amphibious. An amended theory says that they are envoys between land and sea. Their ancestors were "waterbearers" who carried fonts of endless water, gifts from the deep, up to land. In modern day, they no longer have this role as the evil forces of kraken and sahuagin have disrupted these operations. They are thus allied often with the tritons against the foul forces of the deep and lend their assistance via land as well as water.
Society[edit]
Aquarii live in herds. They are known to be a matriarchy, with females taking command of familial cells. They will often start rivalries with one another to establish a dominant female. This fighting historically could result in bloodshed and even death of young aquarii pups. They have since adopted more modern family units so they need not quarrel among each other for resources. Unfortunately this has made them very splintered as a race. They not populate seaside cities but lack a cohesive identity. Aquarii herds are now incredibly rare and often found in less civilized areas. These groups see themselves as guardians of pristine nature and are highly sensitive to imbalances in the environment.
