Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Apep fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. Apep has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. Apep's weapon attacks are magical.

Discorporation. When Apep drops to 0 hit points or dies, his body is destroyed but his essence returns to his domain in the Grey Waste, and he is unable to take a physical form for a time.

Siege Monster. Apep does double damage to objects and structures.

Innate Spellcasting. Apep's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 23, +15 to hit with spell attacks). Apep can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: conjure animals (snakes only), darkness, fireball, scorching ray
4/day each: blight, conjure elemental, immolation, wall of fire
3/day: dispel magic, fire storm, mass suggestion
1/day: divine word, incendiary cloud, meteor swarm, weird

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Apep makes three attacks, two with his bite and one with his constrict.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 42 (6d10 + 9) piercing damage. The target must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 33 (6d10) poison damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.

Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 53 (8d10 + 9) bludgeoning damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 22). Until the grapple ends, the creature is restrained and Apep can't make constrict attacks against another target.

Fire Breath (Recharge 5-6). Apep exhales fire in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw, taking 91 (26d6) fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of Apep's choice that is within 120 feet of Apep and aware of him must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Apep's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

Apep can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Apep regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Detect. Apep makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Attack. Apep makes one bite or constrict attack.
Summon Salamanders (Costs 2 Actions). Apep summons 1d4 salamanders. These creatures magically appear in a unoccupied space within 200 feet of Apep and obey his commands until they are destroyed or until he dismisses them as an action. They act immediately the turn after this legendary action is completed, and maintain this place in the initiative order for future rounds.

Apep, also known as Apophis, was a gigantic serpentine dragon demigod of fire, darkness and snakes who was believed by his enemies to be a manifestation of evil. On the world of Toril he was worshiped by yuan-ti cults under the aspect Repra, until that aspect was subsumed by the deity Sseth.
Apep was said by both his enemies and worshipers to have no creed but destruction, particularly the destruction of the Pharaonic gods of Mulhorand, their temples, their clerics, and their worshipers.
