"Oh my god, what is it doing with those tentacles!"

The Animated Pumpkin is a monster that only seems to arrive a certain time of year. It delights in wrapping its victims up in its vines and then slowly eating them. Just too late for Halloween!

Ecology[edit]

Animated pumpkins tend to be found in slightly strange farmers fields when there is a harvest moon in the sky. They probably don't need to eat meat, but they do it anyways.

Skills[edit]

  • The Animated Pumpkin can maintain a grapple check using its vine whip and attack and move normally. However, if another creature initiates a grapple against its main body, it is impaired as in a normal grapple.
  • When surrounded by other foliage, the pumpkin receives a +8 bonus to its Hide checks.

Specials[edit]

  • Cannot move more than 2 square from its roots. If roots are cut, it may move at 10 feet, but loses 5HP/turn until it dies.
  • Stem hardness 5 20 HP (wood)
