Animated Hat[edit]

You are a hat that has been animated.

History[edit]

You are an animated hat you’ve either been woken up from a deep slumber from being an inanimate object, you have been given a personality and way to speak that also can process living and dead creatures or you have been put in this hat by a greater being either, trying to save your life, or trying to continue into a horrid one.

Animated Hat Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your An ability score was not entered for this template! score increases by 2 and your An ability score was not entered for this template! score increases by 1. Two different ability scores of your choice increase by 1 or one by 2
Age. Since animated hats are essentially timeless, age is only a factor in terms of appearance, not mutually. This is not make animated hats completely mean to the effects of aging however, considering and hat age considers the physical age of the hat, the age of the conscious is controlling it of the hat Whether the consciousness was created or implanted how long the hat and the consciousness have been bonded, a normal hat, make it dusty or even severely damaged however, due to the magical nature, some has to survive several centuries without experiencing such effects
Alignment. There is no true alignment for an animated hat.
Size. you are considered a small creature. but the body you use has its own height.
Speed. Your base walking speed is <speed> feet. you do not have any kind of movement yourself, but when you have a possession of a body, you gain the movement of the side body.
Emotionless face. You have no control of any facial expressions so when someone is trying to do an inside check on you, they have disadvantage.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice. You can read and write common and two other languages, but you cannot use the possessed body to speak, but you can use telepathy to speak to one creature at a time

Animated Hat[edit]

Dead body possession As an Animated hat, you do not have a physical body so you have the power to animate dead ones. You gain any physical properties of that body that you currently possess; bodies do not decay if they are possessed by the hat, but once the hat is taken off the body. It starts to decay faster than normal.

Living body possession as an animated hat, you can possess living creatures that you can put your head on. Once the hat is on a living creature they have to make a constitution saving throw.(DC your constitution modifier plus your proficiency bonus.) On a failed save you take control of the creature for 24 hours then the living body can make another saving throw when you are possessing a living creature, that creature is still conscious of everything that is happening to it.
