Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: +3 to every ability score, base movement speed of 240 feet ignoring difficult terrain, truesight with unlimited range, need I go on?

Janma[edit]

From the beginning of time, the Svadhaya have been at war, existing eternally in a cosmic marriage of opposition. Representing the Will of Order and the Will of Entropy, Ahura Mazda and Ahriman are the source of all creation and all destruction and are, technically, your parents. As a deity, you do not possess a soul of your own. What you have is far greater, and far more ancient. Janma is the essence of your birth. It is the force driving you, the embodiment of the will of your parents.

Creation[edit]

Janma is the byproduct of the War of Wills, sparks falling from divine blades. it is weightless and formless, flowing freely throughout the planes. When Janma finds itself in the Celestial Zenith - the vast sky overlooking the Celestial Nadir - it condenses. Over eons, this condensed Janma gains a will of its own and wakes falling from the Zenith, and drawing form to itself, to the Nadir, ready to create (or destroy) on its own. This being is Amesha, a child of Will, a Being of the Major Divine.

Celestial Nadir[edit]

The Celestial Nadir is a plane apart from all others, accessible only by the beings of the major divine. A home to some, and journeying-place for others, the Celestial Nadir is an apparently endless void webbed with spectral roads of unsupported stone. In all directions, the fabric of the cosmos stretches; a gargantuan tapestry containing the story of the great war of Wills. Swirling lakes and islands of stone and crystal float freely, and hold a number of monuments and crumbled ruins. Floating through the void are cubes made of perfect mirrors, and slabs of transparent glass - a cosmic menagerie of favored beasts and abberations from across the realms. The air inside the demiplane is sharp and cold, but not damp, with a faint smell of petrichor and lightning.

Divine Sanct[edit]

Once fallen from the Celestial Zenith, many Amesha seek to find or create sanctums in which to reside and cultivate a devoted following. Most often this takes the form of a planet. It is commonplace for like-minded (or otherwise proximate) Amesha to co-exist within a single crystal sphere. Devotion is a resource like any other, and must be cultivated to grow. As your devotion grows, so will your influence and and Janma, making you more powerful. Once you choose a Divine Sanct, you may not choose another while the first exists. Some Amesha choose to become one with their Sanct over the course of the ages, preferring to influence their devotees from within - others take a more direct approach, creating a personal cult to maintain their Sanct while they may travel freely. This is your choice. To create or establish your Divine Sanct, you must obtain the consent of all proximate divine parties, you may then perform the taxing ritual of Sanctum - during which you will chrysalize while you shape or reshape your Sanct and the surrounding area. The constituance of your Sanct (what it's made of) is determined at the DM's discretion, or by the Sanct Formation Table Below.

Ameshan Form[edit]

As an action, you can transform your appearance or revert to your natural form. You revert to your natural form if you die.

You decide what you look like, including your height, weight, facial features, the sound of your voice, coloration, hair length, sex, and any other distinguishing characteristics. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, or as something else entirely, though none of your game statistics change. Your clothing and other equipment may change in appearance, size, or shape to match your new form. Even to the most astute mortal observers, your ruse is indiscernible. If your actions or words rouse suspicion, you have advantage on any Charisma (Deception) check you make to avoid detection.

Age[edit]

Like all Beings of the Major Divine, Amesha are immortal and do not age. They can, however, make themselves look younger or older.

Size[edit]

Due to your Ameshan Form, your size may vary wildly. Without additional devotion, you may adjust your size between Tiny and Gargantuan. Your size is up to you, and you may change it as a bonus action.

Society[edit]

Rather than gods being a part of a society, most create their own with the creatures of the multiverse, but some choose not to.
