From D&D Wiki
Alurean Tiefling[edit]
Alurean Tieflings, descended from mortals who made a pact with Succubi and Incubi, are known for their enchanting beauty, charm, and elaborate cultural practices centered around allure and influence.
The Pact of Eternal Desire[edit]
Long ago, in a realm far removed from the mortal plane, there existed a cabal of mortals who yearned for beauty, influence, and eternal youth. Faced with the harsh realities of mortality, these individuals sought a path to immortality and dominance over the hearts and minds of mortals.
Their quest led them to the fringes of existence, where they encountered beings of seduction and temptation: the Succubi and Incubi, denizens of the lower planes who wielded power through the manipulation of mortal desires. Seeing an opportunity to expand their influence beyond the confines of their realm, the Succubi and Incubi entertained the mortals' proposition.
In exchange for their souls and the souls of their descendants, the mortals demanded unparalleled beauty, charisma, and influence. The Succubi and Incubi, intrigued by the mortals' audacity, agreed to their terms, sealing a pact that would forever alter the course of history.
The Birth of the Alurean Tieflings[edit]
With the pact sealed, the bloodlines of mortals were infused with fiendish magic, transforming them into the Alurean Tieflings. Born from the union of mortal ambition and fiendish allure, the Alurean Tieflings inherited the captivating beauty, charm, and allure of their otherworldly benefactors.
The Alurean Tieflings emerged as a new breed of Tiefling, distinguished by their flawless skin, mesmerizing eyes, and elegantly curved horns. Their presence commanded attention wherever they went, their mere presence stirring desire and fascination in those around them.
The Legacy of Temptation[edit]
In the wake of their transformation, the Alurean Tieflings found themselves blessed with beauty beyond compare, yet cursed with a legacy of temptation and desire. Their fiendish heritage imbued them with a natural talent for manipulation and charm, allowing them to sway the hearts and minds of mortals with ease.
Over the centuries, the Alurean Tieflings spread across the mortal realm, their influence reaching far and wide. They rose to prominence in courts, guilds, and criminal organizations, using their innate gifts to navigate the complex web of politics and intrigue that defined mortal society.
Cultural History and Societal Role[edit]
Cultural History[edit]
The Golden Courts[edit]
In the early days following the Pact of Eternal Desire, Alurean Tieflings established themselves in the courts of powerful rulers and influential nobles. These "Golden Courts," as they came to be known, were places of opulence and extravagance where the Alurean Tieflings used their charm and beauty to gain favor and power. Their ability to influence and manipulate made them invaluable advisors, diplomats, and consorts.
The Silver Shadows[edit]
Not all Alurean Tieflings sought the limelight of the Golden Courts. Many found their niche in the shadows, forming secretive guilds and societies known as the "Silver Shadows." These groups operated as spies, assassins, and information brokers, using their allure to gather secrets and manipulate events from behind the scenes. The Silver Shadows became legendary for their ability to influence the outcomes of wars and political intrigues without ever being seen.
Cultural Values[edit]
Beauty and Perfection[edit]
The Alurean Tieflings place immense value on beauty and perfection, viewing these traits as gifts from their infernal ancestors. They pursue art, fashion, and music with a fervor unmatched by other races, often becoming patrons of the arts or celebrated artists themselves.
Ambition and Influence[edit]
Ambition is deeply ingrained in Alurean culture. They believe that their fiendish gifts were bestowed upon them to rise above others and shape the world according to their desires. This drive often leads them to seek positions of power and influence, whether in politics, business, or criminal enterprises.
Manipulation and Subterfuge[edit]
Manipulation is seen as both an art and a necessity among Alurean Tieflings. They are taught from a young age to use their charm and wit to achieve their goals, viewing direct confrontation as a last resort. Deception and subterfuge are celebrated skills, and those who master them are held in high esteem.
Influence Across Different Planes of Existence[edit]
Prime Material Plane[edit]
On the Prime Material Plane, Alurean Tieflings are often found in positions of power and influence. They thrive in the courts of kings and queens, where their beauty and charm make them natural diplomats and courtiers. In urban environments, they often rise to the top of social hierarchies, becoming influential merchants, guild leaders, or crime lords. Despite their fiendish heritage, many Alurean Tieflings seek acceptance and respect within mortal society, using their gifts to bridge the gap between their infernal ancestry and their mortal ambitions.
Feywild[edit]
The Feywild, a realm of magic and enchantment, is a natural habitat for Alurean Tieflings. Their innate charm and beauty resonate with the aesthetics of the Fey, making them welcome guests in the courts of powerful Archfey. Alurean Tieflings often act as intermediaries between the Fey and mortal realms, using their skills in diplomacy and manipulation to broker deals and alliances. Their presence in the Feywild is marked by a mutual appreciation for beauty and a shared love of intrigue and deception.
Shadowfell[edit]
In the Shadowfell, a plane of darkness and despair, Alurean Tieflings are rarer but no less influential. Those who venture into this bleak realm often do so as spies or emissaries, using their charm to navigate the dangerous politics of the Shadowfell's denizens. Their ability to manipulate and deceive makes them valuable assets in the constant power struggles that define this plane. Alurean Tieflings in the Shadowfell must constantly balance their fiendish allure with the ever-present threat of corruption and despair.
Lower Planes[edit]
The relationship between Alurean Tieflings and the Lower Planes is complex and multifaceted. While some Alurean Tieflings embrace their infernal heritage, returning to serve powerful Succubi, Incubi, or other fiendish lords, others seek to distance themselves from their fiendish ancestry. Those who return to the Lower Planes often rise to positions of power within the infernal hierarchy, using their skills to manipulate and control the denizens of these realms.
In the Nine Hells, Alurean Tieflings are often found in the courts of devilish nobles, where their beauty and charm make them effective envoys and advisors. In the Abyss, they may align with powerful demon lords, using their allure to sway the chaotic politics of the demon realm. Despite their varied roles, Alurean Tieflings in the Lower Planes are united by their shared heritage and their pursuit of power and influence.

This subtype is distinguished by the presence of small, ornamental wings. Winged Alureans are often seen as particularly blessed by their fiendish ancestors and are sometimes revered within Alurean society.
