Name Alchemy Division of Vessel Magic
Summary The Alchemy Division focuses on the manipulation of physical and chemical properties, transformation of materials, and crafting of powerful substances. Practitioners gain various abilities that allow them to create potions, transmute materials, enhance physical and mental abilities, and perform other alchemical feats.

Description The Alchemy Division is a specialized path within Vessel Magic, dedicated to the exploration and mastery of alchemical and transmutation abilities. Each level in Devout Vessel beyond the first grants one rank in the Alchemy Division, up to a maximum of 5 ranks. Additional ranks can also be acquired through special feats or training related to alchemical practices.

- First-Level Ability: You may use one first-level ability from the Alchemy Division.
- Rank 2:
- First-Level Abilities: You may use two first-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Second-Level Ability: You may use one second-level ability from the Alchemy Division.
- Rank 3:
- First-Level Abilities: You may use three first-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Second-Level Abilities: You may use two second-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Third-Level Ability: You may use one third-level ability from the Alchemy Division.
- Rank 4:
- First-Level Abilities: You may use four first-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Second-Level Abilities: You may use three second-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Third-Level Abilities: You may use two third-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Fourth-Level Ability: You may use one fourth-level ability from the Alchemy Division.

- First-Level Abilities: You may use five first-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Second-Level Abilities: You may use four second-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Third-Level Abilities: You may use three third-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Fourth-Level Abilities: You may use two fourth-level abilities from the Alchemy Division. - Fifth-Level Ability: You may use one fifth-level ability from the Alchemy Division.
You can switch which abilities you are using at the start of each day or with 1 hour of concentration.
Upcasting and Downcasting[edit]
You can upcast and downcast abilities that allow it. For example, if you have three first-level abilities, you may choose to have one ability available for three uses or distribute them among three different abilities for one use each.
You may also, for example, use a second-rank ability and turn it into two first-rank abilities.
Progression and Special Features[edit]
- The Alchemy Division grants additional abilities at each rank, focusing on transmutation, alchemical concoctions, and physical and mental enhancement. - The abilities grow in power and complexity as you advance through the ranks.
1st Rank Abilities[edit]
Essence Concoction [Rank 1] This ability allows you to create a simple alchemical concoction, such as a basic potion, elixir, or drug. Benefit: Choose one drug or potion from the essence concoction list, or another of similar potency at the DM's discretion. You may create this Twice per day (Per use of this ability)

Material Transmutation [Rank 1] This ability allows you to convert one material into another of equal or lesser value. Benefit: You may transmute up to 1 pound of a material (such as wood, stone, or metal) into a different material of your choice. This process takes one hour, and the transmuted material lasts for up to 24 hours unless otherwise stabilized.

Mental Focus [Rank 1] This ability enhances your mental clarity and focus for a short period. Benefit: For one hour, you gain a +4 bonus to Intelligence- and Wisdom-based skill checks. This can be used once per day.

Physical Boost [Rank 1] This ability allows you to create a temporary physical enhancement potion. Benefit: You can create a potion that grants a +4 bonus to Strength- or Dexterity-based skill checks for 1 hour. You may use this once per day.

Detect Alchemical Properties [Rank 1] This ability allows you to identify the properties of unknown substances and materials. Benefit: You can detect the alchemical properties of substances within a 60-foot radius. This ability requires concentration and takes one round to focus.
2nd Rank Abilities[edit]
Greater Essence Concoction [Rank 2] This ability allows you to create a more potent alchemical concoction, such as an advanced potion, elixir, or drug. Benefit: Choose 3 drugs or potions from the essence concoction list, or another of similar potency at the DM's discretion. You may create this once per Use of this ability.

Advanced Material Transmutation [Rank 2] This ability allows you to convert a larger quantity of material or a more complex object. Benefit: You may transmute up to 5 pounds of a material (such as wood, stone, or metal) into a different material of your choice. This process takes 30 minutes, and the transmuted material lasts permanently unless dispelled or otherwise undone.

Enhanced Mental Focus [Rank 2] This ability significantly boosts your mental clarity and focus for an extended period. Benefit: For four hours, you gain a +8 bonus to Intelligence- and Wisdom-based skill checks. This ability can be used once per day.

Enhanced Physical Boost [Rank 2] This ability allows you to create a more powerful physical enhancement potion. Benefit: You can create a potion that grants a +8 bonus to Strength- or Dexterity-based skill checks for 4 hours. You may use this ability once per day.

Identify Alchemical Composition [Rank 2] This ability allows you to analyze and identify the alchemical composition of substances in detail. Benefit: You can fully identify the alchemical properties, magical properties, and origins of substances within a 120-foot radius. This ability requires concentration and takes one Turn to focus (6 Seconds). You can use this ability at will.
3rd Rank Abilities[edit]
Superior Essence Concoction [Rank 3] This ability allows you to create a highly potent alchemical concoction, such as a rare potion, elixir, or drug. Benefit: Choose 5 drugs or potions from the essence concoction list, or another of similar potency at the DM's discretion. You may create these once per use of this ability.

Benefit: You may transmute up to 50 pounds of a material (such as wood, stone, or metal) into a different material of your choice. This process takes 15 minutes, and the transmuted material lasts permanently, with resistance to dispelling.

Legendary Essence Concoction [Rank 4] This ability allows you to create a legendary alchemical concoction with unique, powerful effects. Benefit: Choose 10 drugs or potions from the essence concoction list, or another of similar potency at the DM's discretion. You may create these once per use of this ability.

Benefit: You may transmute up to 100 pounds of a material (such as wood, stone, or metal) into a different material of your choice. This process takes 1 minute, and the transmuted material is immune to dispelling, permanently considered the new material for all purposes.

Mythical Essence Concoction [Rank 5] This ability allows you to create a mythical alchemical concoction with unparalleled, powerful effects. Benefit: Choose 20 drugs or potions from the essence concoction list, or another of similar potency at the DM's discretion. You may create these once per use of this ability.

Omniscient Alchemical Insight [Rank 5] This ability provides you with a passive, automatic knowledge of all alchemical and magical substances within a vast area. Benefit: You automatically and passively know all alchemical and magical properties, origins, effects, and potential uses of any substances within a 500-foot radius. This ability requires no concentration and is always active.
