Favored Weapon: You are proficient with scimitars and scythes.
Alert: You do not grant combat advantage from being surprised.
Encounter Affinity: You can use Stunning Charm as an encounter power.
Akutir Counter: You may make an opportunity attack on a creature that makes a melee attack against you and the attack roll is a natural 1 or 20.

The Akutir are a strong, attractive humanoid race that hail from an archipelago of floating isles, called the Thrician Islands, named after the centermost and by far the largest island, Thric. While the Akutir are the dominant race in the Thrician Islands, many other races have come to inhabit them, and have been generally well received by the Akutir. The Thrician skies are always dotted with airborne vessels, bearing merchants or passengers--or perhaps even pirates--to the numerous port cities that are scattered across the Isles. Thus, the Akutir share a common love of the skies and of commerce. The Thrician Isles are governed by a senate known as the Colonnade. The decisions made by the Colonnade are rarely popular, and are widely considered to be corrupt.The truth? They are NOT!

Physical Qualities[edit]

Akutir are very human in appearance. They are usually attractive and muscular. Their eyes are slender and almond shaped and can be almost any color. Their skin tone is usually black and they have white or silver hair, but occasionally there are albinos that have a snow white complexion and jet black hair. Those occurrences are very rare and are considered an ill omen by their people, therefore albino Akutir are usually abandoned at birth. Akutir live about as long as humans.

Playing an Akutir[edit]

Akutir heroes are warm and fearless and usually loved by all, and the villains are heartless and feared by many, either way they show their true nature openly with little to no discord to the feelings of others. It is not uncommon for an Akutir hero to be greeted by a town elder, or showered with gifts by locals. Likewise an Akutir villain has no problem slaughtering women and children, the more sadistic ones do things to mentally scar the children for life only to let them live to continue as a basket case. (Note: this means playing your alignment to an extreme, unaligned Akutir are usually very Robin Hood-esque or the leader of a rebel faction.

Female Names: Anada, Biabris, Climastra, Dioria, Elleacha.

Akutir Adventurers[edit]

Three sample akutir adventurers are described below.

Brodic is an akutir paladin of Avandra, goddess of travel.Brodic was a guard for the town he lived in, but he left after only 2 years in search of travel and a friend without a holier-than-thou attitude.He decided to worship Avandra as a paladin because he had always prayed to Avandra and had always liked a good fight.He traveled through the countryside, acquiring little pieces of equipment as he went.One day he came across an adventuring party, and was invited to join.Of course he said yes.He is enthusiastic and brave.

Elleacha is an akutir fighter.When Elleacha was 10, her village was overrun by orcs, and only Elleacha and her tiefling friend Ea escaped to the nearby elven forest.Elleacha decided to be a fighter because she had at first wanted to fight the orcs, but Ea had told her to run(trusting Ea, Elleacha did just that).Ea became a rogue, so Elleacha decided to form an adventuring party.Elleacha and Ea traveled to the nearest city(Dictatorius)and bought equipment, found 4 more adventurers, and had a good time(PARTY!).Elleacha is dutiful and kind.

Nystre is an akutir ranger.When Nystre was 16 he fled his town for the forest, where it was more peaceful.He enjoyed the sunlight, the breeze, the pixies fluttering about, and the fact that he could party with foxes.Since he loved the forest, he decided to become a ranger.One day, he met a pixie, a hamadryad, a satyr and an elf that were looking for somebody to aid them in their epic quest, and Nystre accepted when they asked him if he would aid them.He had brought his equipment when he fled.He is talkative adaptable.
