A shadowy image of your foe appears and grabs them before disappearing, this spell functions similar to fear except for the fact that it deals 1d8 necrotic damage on a failed save.
If you have mastery of the Umbral mind path the spell deals an extra 3d4 necrotic damage and it increases to a 40 foot cone
