Class Features[edit]

Throughout their training Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution learn to build and upgrade 3 primary devices. These devices are the Plasma Cannon, Gravity Well, and a device to generate a Lightning Vortex. These devices are unique to the Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution. The range on all 3 devices is 30 ft. All save DCs are equal to your Craft: Mechanical skill.

All of the following are class features of the Acolyte of the Glorious Evolution.

Plasma Cannon When first beginning their studies, Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution are given blueprints and told to build a shoulder mounted Plasma Cannon. To build the device is a DC 19 Craft: Mechanical check. If one cannot complete this first task however, they will not be allowed into the ranks of the Church of the Glorious Evolution. At first level your Plasma Cannon deals 1d6 damage and targets a single target and expending a single Energy Cell. This damage increases to 3d6 at level 3, 5d6 at level 9, 10d6 at level 15, and 12d6 at level 18. At level 6 the Plasma Cannon becomes able to make a line attack traveling 15 feet dealing damage to all enemies in the path and expends 3 Energy Cells. At level 12 your Plasma Cannon ruptures the ground dealing half the number of dice in damage to targets that fail their reflex saves. Reflex save for half damage on both sources. 2 separate saves.

Gravity Well At third level Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution are given a new blueprint to build a device that slows his opponents known as a Gravity Well. To build the device is a DC 23 Craft: Mechanical check. This Gravity Well covers about 15 feet (3x3 square) and reduces the speed of all caught inside by 25% rounded up to the nearest 5 feet and lasts for 3 rounds. At 8th level all those caught in the Gravity Well receive a -2 penalty on all Strength and Dexterity based checks. At 12th level anyone who ends their turn inside the Gravity Well is stunned for 1 round. At 16th level anyone within the Gravity Well receives a -6 penalty on all reflex saves. At 20th level anyone who enters the Gravity Well is stunned for 1 round. After placing down the Gravity Well, the device must recharge for 5 rounds. The 2nd and 4th upgrades reduce this recharge time by a single round each.

Lightning Vortex At 5th level Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution earn blueprints to build a device that is able to generate a controlled storm that takes up a 5x5 square (25ft) and uses a sapphire worth 250gp per usage. To build the device is a DC 25 Craft: Mechanical check. Only 1 attempt per day is possible for constructing the device. The Lightning Vortex lasts for 5 rounds, increasing its duration by 1 round for every upgrade made to it. At first this Lightning Vortex deals 3d4+1 per level per round, while in use the Plasma Cannon and Gravity Well are both nonfunctional. At 10th level the damage is increased to 3d8+1 per level. At 15th level the Lightning Vortex is able to be directed at a speed of 15 feet per round. At 20th level the Lightning Vortex affixes to a target following them, if affixed to an ally the Lightning Vortex deals no damage to any of your allies. In addition, the Lightning Vortex no longer affects the usage of the Plasma Cannon or the Gravity Well, allowing both to be used while the Lightning Vortex is active.

Barkskin At 8th level Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution gains Barkskin as a permanent effect.

Stoneskin At 15th level Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution gain Stoneskin as a permanent effect.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution are proficient with all simple weapons. Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution are unable to wear armor due to the modifications made to their own bodies.

Energy Cell: Energy Cells are an expendable resource that must be crafted by the Acolytes of the Glorious Evolution by making a Craft: Mechanical check with a of DC 10. If successful then they will receive 2 Energy Cells. In order to attempt this check material components costing 5gp are required to create Energy Cells. are required to make an attempt to create Energy Cells. Attempting to make Energy Cells does consume the material components, even upon failure. Energy Cells must be loaded into the gauntlets and do take a full round action to insert and reload the Energy Cells into the Plasma Cannon. One reload round will fully restock the maximum amount of Energy Cells the Plasma Cannon can hold. Once a Energy Cell is used, it is able to be reloaded.
