Acheron is the God of Despair, Madness, Terror, and Insanity. He dwells on a forlorn, ruined castle high above the Conquest of Death, brooding on a throne crudely carved from obsidian. His worshippers fear him as much as they revere him, for it is not unknown for him to send an Avatar to kill those who displease him for some reason. His Petitioners, the Heralds of Acheron, are terrible to behold, insectoid beings that have an insane lust to devour flesh.
Dogma[edit]
Acheron's dogma is one of begging for help and fearing retribution while in constant despair. All his clerics do not so much as pray for their powers as desperately beg for them. They are often jaded cynics, morose when not in battle, but terrible when inside it.
Clergy and Temples[edit]
Acheron's temples are commonly hidden, most often where despair hangs in the air and woe affects everyone. The cults of Acheron often have links with criminal organisations, using them as pawns to spread despair and woe.
