Abjuration Lord[edit]

“Through the mastery of abjuration, I shall command the unruly forces of magic.”
—Wardenshield Spellbane, Abjuration Lord

The Abjuration Lord, a master mage of the Abjuration School, embodies the power and mastery of countering and dispelling spells, standing as the supreme guardian of reality and the bulwark against mystical arts, neutralizing the magic of their foes and protecting the world from arcane threats with their powerful command of abjuration, showcasing that true strength lies in the ability to counter and prevail over mystical arts, making them the ultimate arcane guardians of reality in the realm of magic.

Class Features[edit]

An Abjuration Lord refines new arcane techniques, mastering spells of the Warding Arts, all the while advancing their mastery of arcane power and magic negation. Furthermore, they acquire unique class abilities carefully tailored to infuse their arcane abilities with enhanced arcane might.

Spellcasting: At each level you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a arcane spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefi t a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming an abjuration lord, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Abjuration Mastery (Su): Starting as 1st level, Abjuration spells such as Dispel Magic and similar no longer have a maximum spellcaster level limit for negating or countering spells. Additionally, you increase your Abjuration Lord level to the considered spellcaster level for all abjuration spells.

Superior Antimagic Field (Su): Beginning at 2nd level, the area of effect of the antimagic field spells you conjure increases to a close range radius emanation centered on you (The spell reaches as far as 25 feet away from you. The maximum range increases by 5 feet for every two full caster levels) instead of a 10-ft.-radius emanation centered on you. You can also cast spells normally within any antimagic zone, even if you are not the one who conjured the angimagic field. A successful concentration check allows you to maintain all your ongoing duration spells active during that round.

Multi Counterspell (Su): An Abjuration Lord can use counterspell to simultaneously negate spells cast by different targets among casters, objects, and spells activated by a trigger, up to a number equal to your Intelligence modifier.

Quick Abjuration (Su): At 4th level, An Abjuration Lord can reduce the casting times of all abjuration spells from a standard action to a swift action and spells from a swift action to an immediate action a number of times per day equal to their Abjuration Lord level. Immediate action spells can now be cast outside of your turn as an additional immediate action without the need to prepare the action.

Overloaded Abjurant (Su): The best defense is offense. From 5th level on, your control over magic negation allows you to seriously harm anyone attempting to cast spells in your presence. When you counter or dispel a spell, an explosion of force inflicts 5d6 force damage per spell level in a 20-foot radius. Additionally, you gain an extra slot in a pool of available spells for casting abjuration spells. These slots are in addition to your prepared or spontaneous slots and are lost at the end of the day.
