Your ancestors dared to delve into powers they did not understand, powers that drove all but the strongest of them mad. The taint of these powers, alien to the fabric of reality, has transformed you and your kin into aberrant beings. Your unsettling appearance and enhanced mental capabilities can be a curse or a blessing depending on how you see it and utilize it.

Alien Form[edit]

Tieflings of this bloodline vary greatly in appearance, but they have a few common traits. Their skin is unusually cold and sometimes feels slimy, usually some shade of grey, blue, green, or purple. A mass of tentacles protrudes from the backs of their heads, taking the place of their hair and moving according to their emotions. They still have the usual curved horns and long tails, although the ends of their horns, tails, and their fingers may fade into another color. Their eyes may be a solid shade of grey, blue, purple, red, or green. Aberrant tieflings are simultaneously charming and unsettling, giving the feeling that they are not quite of this reality.

Aberrant Tiefling Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Aberrant Resistance. You have resistance to psychic damage.
Aberrant Touch. You know the chill touch cantrip, which does not count against your number of cantrips known. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.
Prehensile Tentacles. You have several, flexible tentacles sprouting from the back of your head. These tentacles cannot hold weapons or a shield and don't grant additional actions― however, you may use them to interact with objects, grapple, or perform the somatic components of spells while your hands are occupied.
Telepathy. You can communicate telepathically with another creature that knows at least one language within a 30-foot radius. This creature doesn't need to share a language with you, but unless they have telepathy themselves they can only receive and respond but can't initiate or terminate a telepathic conversation. You must be conscious to use this trait and cannot telepathically communicate with more than one creature at a time.
Extra Language. You can speak, read, and write Deep Speech.
