ACTIONS

Consume. Melee Spell Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) fire damage. If this damage reduces the target's hit point to 0, the target dies and crumbles to dust.

Whisper. Each creature within 30 feet of the aaeaea that can hear it and isn't undead or a construct must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or take 10 (1d8 + 6) psychic damage.

Aaeaea are spirits that inhabit swamps where much death has happened. They are completely invisible and nearly formless, and sustain themselves by absorbing the existence or reality from anything they touch, reducing it to charred dust in the process. Every so often, an aaeaea has a taste for flesh, or at least prefers that to the swamp mud it normally consumes. If a suitable creature comes within range, the aaeaea whispers to it, shocking its mind; if the creature is close enough, the aaeaea consumes it. They do not want to kill, but they need to survive.
