Armor (shield), very rare (requires attunement)

This item appears to be a metal shield boss and a shield grip. While grasping the grip, you can use a bonus action to cause a shield composed of flowing water to spring into existence around the boss, or make the shield disappear. While holding this shield, you gain the following benefits:

  • You have a +2 bonus to AC in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
  • You have resistance to fire damage.
  • If you are caught on fire, you are automatically doused at the start of your turn.
  • A creature with water susceptibility, such as a fire elemental, takes 1d10 cold damage whenever it touches you or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you.
