The devil cat is a large feline with short, dark fur and a row of spines that stretches from its neck to the base of its tail. Its bite is quite poisonous, causing hallucinations that in some cases can completely sever the subject's view of reality, as what it sees and hears is so different from what is actually happening that it might as well be blind and deaf. Some scholars believe that devil cats were the result of magical attempts to combine snakes and tigers, a view reinforced by the presence of tiny scales scattered amongst the cat's fur. |
